Today I had the chance to watch Train to Busan in the cinema. It was a special showing for the Halloween season and seriously I could have not been more excited!
Now, I am not a zombie theme fanatic, however, I think that this movie is a must watch even if you are not a fan of zombies. Apart from the awesome cast, the whole story line was well executed from start to finish. What I really liked and hated at the same time was the fact that it really portrayed society's good and bad side. For example, it showcases how people could react to a life threatening situations. And that's really just human nature, but that's what really made the movie!!
As mentioned the cast was awesome but I really have to give the kudos to Kim Soo An, she was superb. She was able to demonstrate emotions that even for experienced actor would be hard. Of course, the other actors really demonstrated the horror and beyond beliefs emotions as well.
Really great effects as well, totally felt like the real thing. Of course, some times I laughed because it felt a bit unreal but as the movie progressed along, I got more and more sucked into the movie/storyline and everything seemed like it could really happen one day.
In the cinema, the screening room was quite large, there weren't too many in the audience, and thus you could totally spot me in the audience as I was nearly screaming and jumping up and down in my seat from excitement and nervousness about what will happen. It was a movie that keeps you at the edge of your seat! So if you have the chance, do pop down to the cinemas to watch it!
